What to expect

Creative art therapy is a language through which we can explore our experiences, emotions and the things that shape us. Through engaging with different art materials, emotions, thoughts and feelings can emerge.

What exists in the subconscious may also come into conscious awareness. My role as a therapist is to hold a safe space for you to create, explore, interpret and gain insight.

A few things to knowโ€ฆ

The creative process is the heart of the work.
The focus is on expression, exploration and what emerges through creating, rather than the aesthetic outcome.
Sessions and experiences may be one to one or in small groups, through individual sessions, workshops, community gatherings and retreats. Most take place in person with occasional sessions available online.
Each experience is shaped around the people involved and previous art experience simply isn't relevant.
Curiosity and willingness are all you need to begin.
